Unfortunately, UltraISO is not freeware, and I don't know of any free software that will inject files into ISO's. Drive images are an essential part of your backup plan because they take an exact copy of your entire hard drive the problem with the Windows Backup tool is. Then, save that new ISO and burn it to CD/DVD/BD. What I used to do was create ISO files for Rescue Media in the Builder and then use a piece of software called UltraISO to inject the image file into the bootable ISO. Inject the image file into an ISO and burn that bootable ISO to a disc. In other words, when you update Rescue Media you've already created to flash drive, the Rescue Media Builder only modifies files it creates.īy the same token, you can create other kinds of bootable flash drives and just copy over the image files to them, but be aware that if the method you use to create this bootable flash drive, like say for a Windows installation media, overwrites the flash drive each time it creates it, it will erase the image file on the flash drive.įor a bootable DVD, you're best off doing what I do. And when you update the Rescue Media, as long as you don't put the image files in any folder that Reflect creates on the flash drive, the Rescue Media Builder will not overwrite the image file you copied unless the Build specifically states it must format the flash drive when it creates it. What you can do easiest is create a Reflect Rescue Media flash drive and then just copy over the image to the flash drive. This will erase all data on the USB pen drive. Depends on which you prefer, what you intend to do, and what software you have available to you.
